The email message below with the subject: "Please Read: Message From Suntrust," is a phishing scam. The email message was not sent by SunTrust Banks, Inc, an American bank holding company. The message was instead sent by cyber-criminals to trick potential victims into clicking on the link within the email message, which will take them to a phishing / fake Suntrust website. The phishing website looks exactly like the Suntrust’s website, which will trick a lot of Suntrust’s customers, who have received the fake email message, into entering their usernames and passwords on it. Once the victims have entered their Suntrust’s online account credentials (usernames and passwords) on the fake website, it will be sent to the cyber-criminals, who will use it to gain access their accounts, and use the accounts fraudulently.
